PFLAG’s goals are three-fold:
- Support for parents, allies and members of the LGBTQ community as they deal with the coming out process
- Education so that those unfamiliar with our organization will learn about it and so that many of the myths and untruths about our children and their gender orientation might be dispelled
- Advocacy to ensure that our LGBTQ children receive and keep all of the the civil rights that their straight brothers and sisters possess under the law
